Her name was recently drawn for a $1,000 shopping spree at Hilderbrand Jewelers because she took the time to do a wish list. So….not only did she get the perfect Christmas gift from Hilderbrand because her husband knew exactly what she wanted, but now she also has $1,000 worth of jewelry to choose. Owner Kevin Hilderbrand has been so pleased with the wish list concept that he has decided to do the $1,000 shopping spree four times a year. “The wish list works for everyone. Every member of the family can fill out a wish list. The information goes into the computer, and when it’s gift-buying time, the result is the perfect gift,” explained Hilderbrand. The process is simple. Just come by Hilderbrand Jewelers and fill out a wish list. Look for a variety of jewelry that would fit various gift-giving occasions.  Teri Thomas of Perryville thought maybe she was delusional Saturday when she got a call from Hilderbrand Jewelers. After all, she was running a temperature and had flu-like symptoms.“I really thought maybe I was hearing things when Julie and Jessica told me I’d won a $1,000 in jewelry,” said Thomas. “I had to ask them several times to repeat what they’d said.” Julie Anders and Jessica Williams both work at Hilderbrand Jewelers and were the lucky ones to deliver the good news to Thomas over the phone. “It’s almost as exciting for us to tell someone they won as it is for the person winning,” grinned Anders. “I definitely think this news perked her up on a day when she wasn’t feeling too good,” added Williams. Thomas won because she had filled out a Wish List at Hilderbrand Jewelers. Everyone who fills out a wish list has their name put into a drawing for the $1,000 jewelry shopping spree. A new drawing is done every quarter of the year. The next drawing will be held in June. Thomas highly recommends filling out the wish list. “It’s always fun looking at jewelry and picking out pieces you would want. It’s even more fun to win $1,000 worth of jewelry!” exclaimed Thomas. |

 Judy Huddleston of Saint Genevieve was the latest winner in Hilderbrand Jewelers' $1,000 Jewelry Shopping Spree. "I was shaking like a leaf when I got the call," explained Huddleston. "I just couldn't believe I'd won. I've never won anything in my life!" Huddleston won the shopping spree by regularly adding to her wish list at the store. Every time she did, it gave her another entry into the contest. It was definitely a winning strategy for her. "Hilderbrand's is always a favorite stop in Perryville for a group of friends and I. Every time we were in town, we'd stop and add to our wish lists," explained Huddleston. She presented a $50 gift certificate to each of four friends in her group as part of her $1,000 win. "If it hadn't been for my friends, I probably wouldn't have been in the store to get my name in the drawing. This has been so much fun for all of us," Huddleston said. "I would definitely recommend everyone to enter....you just never know!" |

Kara Martyn is Summer Wish List Winner
Kara Martyn of Frohna, MO is the latest winner in the Hilderbrand Jewelers $1000 Jewelry Shopping Spree contest. “I was so excited to find out I was the winner,” said Martyn. “Of course I never thought when I filled out my wish list that I would be the winner!” Kara knew exactly what she wanted to get with her $1,000. She had her treasures picked out within fifteen minutes. “I already had in mind what I wanted to get, so it was really easy for me to do my choosing,” explained Martyn. Kara definitely encourages everyone to take the time to fill out a wish list with Hilderbrand Jewelers. Like most women, she filled out the list to help out her husband, Kevin, when he wants to buy her jewelry. The items on the wish list are stored in the Hilderbrands’ computer. If anyone comes in to buy jewelry for a special person in their life, all the Hilderbrands have to do is check their wish list, and the perfect gift is assured every time. “Everyone loves the wish list,” explained Tammy Hilderbrand. “It’s always fun to look at jewelry and do a little bit of dreaming. And the really great part about it is that Wish List helps those dreams become reality. The added plus is the chance of becoming a winner in the contest. Kevin Hilderbrand agrees. “Yes,” he admits. “That is really the icing on the cake.” |
